Super Bowl XLIII. The venue: Raymond James Stadium, Tampa, Florida. Most think the Pittsburgh Steelers, a team with a long legacy of Super Bowl wins and playing the Arizona Cardinals, a surprising new entrant in the pursuit of the Lombardi Trophy, should prevail. Pittsburgh Coach Mike Tomlin attempts to win his first Super Bowl; he would be the youngest head coach to go all the way. Or, Kurt Warner, a rags to riches, to rags, and back to riches story who would be the oldest QB to win the Super Bowl.

The game-time temperature was a comfortable 66 and overcast with a cold front to move in around the fourth quarter. Terry McAulay, working his second Super Bowl, wore short sleeves unlike his previous appearance in Jacksonville.

The game festivities began with Walter Payton's wife Connie and Commissioner Gooddell presenting Kurt Warner with the NFL Man of the Year award. Kurt, through all the ups and downs, has always remained an inspiration.
