That call leads to the first lead by the Patriots, who score at the 14:57 mark of the second quarter. The kickoff following the touchdown produces the second penalty...

On the Giants' drive, Burress drops a pass that the Patriots' defense chases and begins to return as the whistle blows, indicating the play as dead and the pass as incomplete.

On the next play Toomer creates separation by a hand to the face of the defender, and that allows him to get both feet down in-bounds. The hand to the face occurs between Linesman Slaughter and Side Judge Rose. Neither call offensive pass interference.

Later in the drive, the Giants are penalized...
