What went wrong?

ccasionally we tend to make things a lot more difficult than they actually need to be. Having made my way through graduate school a number of years ago, I can appreciate the phrase "paralysis by analysis." Granted, there is value in doing your research, but at some point you need to move on and take action.

When it comes to officiating you shouldn't have to spend much time trying to figure out how to improve. There is one really straightforward and simple way to enhance your learning, and that is to make an officiating journal a part of your regular routine.

Today's discussion and the articles to follow will focus on getting started with an officiating journal along with some pretty basic techniques and concepts to facilitate your improvement. New official or seasoned veteran: Both can benefit from a properly maintained — and utilized — journal.
