Blame it on "Dear Ol' Dad"

s a rule, when it comes to sports, hatred is passed on from generation to generation without any true explanation as to why it exists in the first place. Ninety-five percent of the time I blame it on geography. After all, if you are from Dallas, you probably hate the Eagles — and vice versa. Then there are the five percent who live in one area but root for distant teams like the Packers, the 49ers, or the dreaded Patriots. In Texas, we call those people idiots.
