play to the opposite side should not leave a wing official thinking ahead to the next play, even though the current play is way over on the other side of the field. Rather, that wing should, as the NFHS Officials Manual suggests, "move cautiously into general area until certain there will be no reverse or counter" and  "observe action on linebackers and backside pursuit."
