he current discussion on deploying the Line Judge downfield on a scrimmage kick actually started back in Part IV; and if you haven’t done so already, I encourage you to review it and Part V before you proceed here. Picking up from there, a key element in tweaking one crew member’s mechanics is that the adjustment needs to fit within the overall coverage by the crew. With the Line Judge already setting up downfield on a scrimmage kick, let’s look now at how that may impact the Referee’s mechanics on the same punt play.
