A common phrase used when fictional writings or movies portray a somewhat accurate view of real life is "art imitates life." Over the years Hollywood has given us many examples of imitation of our beloved game. Some of the play situations are quite ridiculous, but others — though strange — would be legal if played on a high school field under NFHS rules. Countless others stretch the rules a bit.
