his year has been a strange one for the Canadian Football League. The minor pro loop has been around for over 100 years, rising from the ruins of the Canadian Rugby Football Union near the turn of the century. Since then, the league has become something of a Canadian institution, inpsiring patriotism, fervor, and passion from coast to coast.
The league has a more recent history of inspiring bankruptcies, lawsuits, midnight franchise moves, and drama more suited for the boardroom than the field. This year, that has not been the case; the finances have not been solid, but they've been workable for the first time since the late 80s.
