isconsin quarterback Jim Sorgi found himself on the ground being choked by Ohio State linebacker Robert Reynolds in the game between the two teams on October 11. As a result of that moment, Sorgi found breathing difficult and that left him unable to play the rest of the game. Knowing what happened to their quarterback apparently inspired Wisconsin, and they beat favored Ohio State, 17-10.

 

 

No penalty was meted for this incident as the officials did not see it. But the attack was caught on tape and later reviewed by Ohio State head coach Jim Tressel. Following his review, Coach Tressel issued the following statement:
