Be like the Boy Scouts...

Success in anything doesn't just happen. Whether it's an important meeting at work, fixing your favorite recipe for dinner, or planning a great vacation, preparation is key to ensuring success. Your football officiating should be no less prepared.

Preparation goes beyond the rules study and making sure you are physically fit to hold up on the football field. Picture your typical day. Getting the kids ready for school, dropping them off, getting to work, handling several different work projects, dealing with a couple of "emergencies," figuring out how you're going to get your kids to three different activities that evening, etc. Oh, yeah, and you have a reserve football game to work at 4:30 p.m. today.
