ecently, we shared some things we have learned over the years in officiating high school football. Among those is the knowledge that officiating high school football is an extension of the classroom. If you don’t believe that, it is my firm conviction that you don’t belong in the game. I hope no one is offended by such a strong statement, but that is the opinion I have developed as I have grown in officiating. As officials, we should consider ourselves to be educational consultants and conduct ourselves in an appropriate professional manner.
